What they are

A cookie is a small file the site leaves in your browser so it recognises you on the next request. Alongside cookies we use browser storage: in law it is the same thing, and we treat it the same way.

The prefixes in the names appear only over a secure connection: the browser uses them to refuse a cookie written by somebody else.

There are two maps in the shop and both take their tiles from OpenStreetMap. The map on the contact page loads only with consent for external resources; without it a button stays in its place, and pressing that button is your consent for that one map. The courier map on the order page asks nothing: it is part of the delivery you ordered, and without it you cannot see where the box is. Either way nothing is left in the browser.

The categories

Necessary

The sign-in session, the cart and your decision on this very screen. The site does not work without them, so they cannot be switched off.

Analytics

Browser errors and the page they happened on, sent to our own server. They show us what breaks and go nowhere else.

Marketing

Ad measurement and advertising audiences. Nothing in this category loads today: the switch is here before the pixels, not after them.

External resources

The map on the contact page: its tiles come from the public OpenStreetMap server, and that server sees the IP address of whoever the map is drawn for. With your consent the map appears on its own; without it a button stays in its place.

Nothing loads in the marketing category today: we run no advertising pixels and no ad networks. The switch exists so that on the day they appear they are already behind the question rather than in front of it.

How to change your mind

The panel below opens the same categories as on your first visit. Consent is withdrawn as easily as it was given, from the footer of any page.

From the browser settings

Cookies can also be deleted in the browser. Delete the necessary ones and the cart and the session go with them, and the site will ask about the categories again.
