Terms of sale

The seller

We sell what we smoke in our own workshop in Chisinau. The contract is with us, and claims are settled by us, at the contacts below.

The goods

Smoked fish is perishable and made in small batches. The shelf life and storage conditions are printed on the label of every pack, and the goods travel chilled until they are handed over.

Prices

Prices are shown in Moldovan lei and include taxes. For goods sold by weight the final sum follows the weighing, from the price per kilogram shown on the product page.

Weight of a portion

Portions are cut by hand, so the actual weight differs slightly from the one shown. Before dispatch we weigh the portion and settle the sum: the new amount appears on the order page, and if the portion comes out lighter you pay less.

The order

An order placed on the site is an offer to buy. The contract is made when we confirm it: the status changes on the order page, and we call when needed. If we cannot smoke your order for the chosen day we tell you and the order is cancelled at no cost.

Payment

Payment is on receipt — to the courier or, for pickup, in the shop — in cash or by card. We charge nothing in advance and store no card details: card payments go through the bank terminal.

Delivery

We deliver across Chisinau in two-hour windows chosen at checkout. The fee depends on the sector, and above a certain sum delivery is free; the threshold and the windows are named on the delivery page. The order can also be collected from the shop free of charge, at the time chosen at checkout.

Checking on handover

Inspect the parcel on receipt, while the courier or the shop assistant is there. If the packaging is damaged or the goods are not what you ordered, refuse them on the spot: you pay nothing and there is nothing else to do.

Returns and claims

Perishable food is not returnable once handed over — that is the exception the law makes for goods that spoil quickly. Quality claims we do settle: write within 24 hours of delivery with a photograph of the goods and the label, and we refund the money or replace the goods.

Privacy policy

Cancelling

You can cancel while the order has not gone into preparation — call the number below. Once the fish has been smoked and packed in your name, cancelling is no longer possible: such goods cannot go back on sale.

Governing law

The law of the Republic of Moldova applies. Disputes are settled between us first and, failing that, in the courts of Chisinau. Consumers may also turn to the Agency for Consumer Protection and Market Surveillance.
